Arthritis
Dr. Silberman specializes in the diagnosis and management of
orthopedic joint pain and arthritis.  We are now seeing arthritis in 40
year olds and even younger.

A recent study in Osteoarthritis Cartilage, October 2016, found that patients
with knee osteoarthritis who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery with
meniscectomy had a three fold increase in the risk for future knee
replacement surgery.

Pain management in arthritis may be achieved by Dr. Silberman via
viscosupplementation injections (Synvisc, Euflexxa, Orthovisc, Supartz),
cortisone injections, prolotherapy, platelet rich plasma, bone marrow
aspirate stem cell therapy, topical prescription gels compounded specific to
the patient, oral anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, home
exercise programs, nutritional guidance, or bracing and strapping.

X-ray and diagnostic ultrasound on site can give rapid diagnosis of arthritis
without need for MRI.

Dr. Silberman performs orthopedic injections and aspirations under
ultrasound guidance minimizing pain and complications.

Dr. Silberman has repeatedly diagnosed and treated lyme arthritis, gout,
celiac disease, gluten sensitivities, and food allergies in many patients who
failed diagnosis and treatment by other physicians.

You don't have to be an athlete to be seen at New Jersey Sports Medicine.
